Accommodations

We are committed to providing students with full access to the GED® test for anyone with disabilities and support the intention of the Americans with Disabilities Act as Amended (ADAAA). Test accommodations are considered on a case-by-case basis and include things such as extra testing time, extra breaks, and a separate testing room.

Before submitting a formal request, be sure to give the appropriate documentation guidelines below to your doctor or psychologist to evaluate.

How to Apply

  1. Download and read the documentation guidelines for your disability
  2. Print and complete the accommodation request form for your disability type
  3. Complete and mail your request form and documentation to the address listed below for your province
  4. It will take up to 30 days for your request to be reviewed and to receive a determination email

Appeal Process

You may appeal an accommodations decision if you’re unhappy with the outcome. Simply complete the appeal form to start the appeal process. Please include additional documentation (i.e. letter from a doctor, report, etc) to review if possible.
